Crimson Succulent

This massive cactus grows up to 166 feet (50.6 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 4 thick stems. Each stem is pink-red, and is covered in handfuls of fine, hazel, hair-like spines. The mushroom-shaped body is black, and is covered in lots of rigid brown spines.

It is quick growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with vibrant blue petals and a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like rotting meat.

The cactus's skin is tough, the white flesh is rough, and the blood red sap is thin.
