Burgundy Succulent

This small cactus grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is burgundy, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 8 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with vibrant blue petals and a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cup. It has an overpowering scent that smells like misty mornings.

The cactus's skin is thin, the bronze flesh is waxy, and the turquoise sap is thin and causes diarrhea if consumed.
