Bronze

This big fruit tree grows up to 38 feet (11.6 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 32 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in knobbly, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the flexible wood is white.

The branches are short and thin and are covered with copious amounts of giant, spear shaped leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are brown on the edges and aquamarine at the center.

In early spring, it produces bunches of medium-sized, cream blossoms with 2 teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like meat.

In early autumn it produces , long, curved fruit. The fuzzy bronze skin is thick and edible when cooked; it is savoury, and the slightly crunchy lilac flesh is bitter and syrupy. The caramel seed is tiny and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
