Copperbell
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This large caudiciform grows up to 85 feet (25.9 meters) tall. The pleated stem is copper, and is covered in handfuls of rigid brown spines. It has a straight, wide, gold trunk atop a very thick platform of wrinkled, exposed roots. The branches are thick and green and are long and thin.
The smooth-edged, wide leaves are crimson at the bottom and white with olive zig-zags at the top. They are sturdy, and do not detach easily.
It is slow growing, taking 49 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid cyan petals and a crimson central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like sugar.
The caudiciform's skin is tough, the blue flesh is smooth, and the caramel sap is thin.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
