Azure Flame Moss

This azure moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In moorlands.
It is big, growing up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is overwhelmingly rigid.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release hundred of spores.
