Turquoise

This big leaf succulent grows up to 104 feet (31.7 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is moss green, and is covered in hundreds of rigid turquoise spines. The serrated-edged, very thick leaves are deep yellow and light grey. Copious amounts of them grow from the base in alternating layers of 2, then 4, then 6, and so on. The leaves are frail, and take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are cyan in the center, lilac in the middle and green at the edges grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 48 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight heart. It has a weak scent that smells like rotten meat.

The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the purple flesh is rubbery, and the blood red sap is thin.
