Red Spine Cactus

This average-sized cactus grows up to 17 feet (5.2 meters) tall. The thin stem is faded red, and is covered in brittle dark grey spines. The round body is gray-green, and is covered in lots of fine, caramel, hair-like spines.

It is very fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are cyan in the center, lilac in the middle and green at the edges grow at the top, reappearing after 8 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 27 curved petals. It has a fairly strong scent that smells like petrol.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the beige flesh is soft, and the white sap is thin.
