Bloodvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 7 feet (2.1 meters) and growing as high as 30 feet (9.1 meters).

It takes 2 months for the gray stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are rough and prickly.

The broad, flat, waxy leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are brown on the sides and blood red at the center, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thousands of small crimson flowers.

It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
