Bloodvine

This huge vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,441 feet (439.2 meters) and growing as high as 600 feet (182.9 meters).

It takes 17 years for the gray stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 4.8 feet (1.5 meters) and are rough and woody.

The finger-like, leathery leaves reach up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) in length. They are brown on the sides and blood red at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces copious amounts of large vivid orange flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces lots of very large berries.
