Caramel Fruit Tree

This enormous fruit tree grows up to 52 feet (15.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 47 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, angular trunk covered in wrinkled, dark brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is burgundy-brown.

The sparse amount of branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with very large amounts of huge, slender, pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are orange and caramel.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of small, lilac blossoms with stiff, pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a strong scent that smells like chocolate.

In early summer it produces , circular fruit. The soft white skin is stretchy and inedible, and the soft slate flesh is sour and dry. The orange seeds are tiny and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
