Caramel Fruit Tree

This short fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 24 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, angular trunk covered in wrinkled, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the very light wood is light brown.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with very large amounts of small, pleated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are caramel and white.

In early spring, it produces dozens of tiny, white blossoms with spear shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like bleach.

In mid-summer it produces , 6 pointed fruit. The leathery deep green skin is thick and inedible, and the crunchy white flesh is sweet and syrupy. The cream seeds are tiny and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
