Crimson Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 41 feet (12.5 meters)0.

It takes 7 months for the emerald stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are smooth and slick.

The wispy, rough leaves reach up to 10 inches (25 cm) in length. They are solid bronze with white zig-zags, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the vine produces dozens of large blood red flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of tiny fruits.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
