Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In heathlands, and In rainforests.
It is large, growing up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is overwhelmingly robust; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
