Crimson Moor Moss

This red moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In moorlands.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is overwhelmingly flimsy; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
