Silvervine

This average-sized tree grows up to 59 meters (193.6 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 191 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, slanted trunk covered in hard, smooth, silver bark, and inside, the flexible wood is gray.

The branches are long and slender and are covered with small amounts of crispy, small, thin leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are slate on the edges and beige at the center.

In early spring, it produces dozens of medium-sized, red blossoms with wide petals. They detach easily and have the faintest scent that smells like petrol.

In late summer it forms small, bronze, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
