Burgundy Vine

This colossal vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,834 feet (863.8 meters) and growing as high as 652 feet (198.7 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 13 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 4.1 feet (1.2 meters) and remain soft and fleshy.

The wide, waxy leaves reach up to 3.3 feet (99 cm) in length. They are hazel and blue, and have smooth edges.
