Crimson Puffgrass

This big, slate grass grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The very thin stalks grow in small clumps that are strong.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, crimson puff.

During the mid-summer, it produces lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of giant grains.
