Burgundy Succulent

This short cactus grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The finger-like stem is burgundy, and is covered in sharp spines. The round body is copper, and is covered in thick sheets of fine, silver, hair-like spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid light brown petals and an amber central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of tightly layered round-tipped petals. It has a strong scent that smells like pot-purri.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the magenta flesh is leathery, and the cream sap is thin.
