Amberleaf

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 282 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, twisting trunk covered in fine, rough, brown and grey bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale yellow.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with very large amounts of leathery, small, wispy leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are either amber or white, with light brown dots.

In late summer it forms large, vibrant green, shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.

It comes in 14 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
