Blacktwig
Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This big shrub grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 162 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has several very thick, straight stems covered in paper-thin, silky, black bark, and the wood inside is yellow-brown.
The branches are short, rigid and upright with thousands of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of small, finger-like, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are caramel and bold red, durable and smooth.
In early spring it produces thick bunches of large, cyan flowers with asymmetrical petals. They are sturdy and have an intense scent that smells like wet dog.
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
