Goldenrush

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This large, yellow grass grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The perforated stalks grow in large clumps that are delicate.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, yellow tuft.

During the late summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of large grains.

The sap is edible and slightly savoury.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
