Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In damp forests, and In marshes.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly light.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores.
