Bloodgrass

Grass type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short, emerald grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in sparse patches that are flimsy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, blood red tuft.

During the early autumn, it produces lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of tiny grains.

All parts of the moss are edible.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It commonly grows in large patches.
