Blackvine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This short vine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 23 feet (7.0 meters) and growing as high as 111 feet (33.8 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.
It takes 6 months for the brown stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are rough and fibrous.
The wide, waxy leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are black and dark brown, and have smooth edges.
During late spring, the vine produces thick bunches of tiny drab purple flowers.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
The stems are covered in large spikes.
