Brownleaf Creeper

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 165 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has many narrow, slanted stems covered in very thick, silky, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches are short, rigid and upright with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of huge, broad, flat, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in caramel, red and black varieties, durable and leathery.

In mid-summer it produces handfuls of small, dark brown flowers with circular petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have a strong scent that smells like something putrid.

It comes in 8 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
It blooms only at night.
It is suitable for making paper
It is difficult to cut through.
