Turquoise

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This massive shrub grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 169 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many knobbly, straight stems covered in knobbly, pine-coloured bark, and the wood inside is light brown.

The branches are short and thick with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of large, sickle shaped, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are blood red at the bottom and lime with turquoise patches at the top, flimsy and fuzzy.

In mid-summer it produces copious amounts of giant, deep blue flowers with crescent-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a faint scent that smells like something putrid.

It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
