Copper Marsh Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In bogs, On rotten logs, and In marshes.
It is average-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is very tough; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
