Red Heart Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas On trees, In moorlands, and In rainforests.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is very rigid.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
