Coilvine

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This big fruit tree grows up to 23 feet (7.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 37 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, slanted trunk covered in hard, rough, dark brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is copper-coloured.

The abundance of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, long, narrow leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are sky blue and white.

In early spring, it produces dozens of tiny, silver blossoms with 3 pointed petals. They are very delicate and have a strong scent that smells like fruity.

In early winter it produces tiny, cuboid fruit. The fuzzy sky blue skin is tough and inedible, and the slightly crunchy muted orange flesh is spicy and salty and juicy. The beige seeds are large and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.

It is suitable for making strong rope
