Burgundybell

This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 558 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in delicate, waxy, burgundy bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale brown.

The excessive amount of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with handfuls of smooth, giant, wide leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are lilac and blue.

In early spring, it produces lots of large, dark grey blossoms with sickle shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like honeysuckle.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, caramel, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
