Climbing Hazelvine

This big vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 438 feet (133.5 meters) and growing as high as 121 feet (36.9 meters).

It takes 21 months for the hazel stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1.6 feet (48 cm) and are flat and wavy.

The long, narrow, rough leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are cyan and gold, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many clusters of large dark grey flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of large seed pods.
