Bronze Succulent

This short cactus grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The sickle shaped stem is pink-red, and is covered in lots of rigid beige spines.

It is slow growing, taking 26 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are either aquamarine or dark purple, with a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing after 4 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 48 petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like citrus.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the bronze flesh is sticky, and the bronze sap is thin.
