Burgundy Bine

This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 107 feet (32.6 meters) and growing as high as 113 feet (34.4 meters).

It takes 4 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1.7 feet (51 cm) and are soft and flexible.

The long, narrow, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are either silver or bronze, with amber splotches, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thousands of average purple flowers.
