Caramel Succulent

This short leaf succulent grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is copper, and is covered in thick sheets of flexible beige spines. The rounded leaves are pink and caramel. Thick bunches of them grow on slender, grey branches that are long and thin. The leaves are resistant, but do not detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are white in the center, olive in the middle and purple at the edges grow at the top, reappearing after 8 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 curved petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like baby powder.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the amber flesh is smooth, and the pale orange sap is thin and can kill if consumed.
