Brownfern

This brown moss is commonly found growing in large clumps On rotten logs, In damp forests, and In heathlands.
It is big, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly flexible.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release hundred of spores.
