Caramel Spikegrass

This large, red grass grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The broad, flat stalks grow in extensive patches that are light and frail and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, caramel spikelet.

During the late autumn, it produces a modest amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.
