Bluebell

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 159 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has many flexible, wonky stems covered in delicate, ridged, pine-coloured bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, very narrow and elongated, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are solid pastel blue or azure, with peach splotches, delicate and rough.

It produces thousands of tiny, orange flowers with sickle shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have an intense scent that smells like cotton. In late summer it forms smallwhite, winged seeds that float and land far away.
