Azureleaf Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This enormous leaf succulent grows up to 145 feet (44.2 meters) tall. The wispy stem is pink-red, and is covered in dozens of flexible light yellow spines. The irregular-edged, spear shaped leaves are either azure, or vivid green with olive edges. Copious amounts of them grow from the base in alternating layers of 3, then 6, then 9, and so on. The leaves are resilient, and take little effort to detach.

It is very slow growing, taking 48 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with solid vivid green petals and a gentle orange central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a heart with 58 widely spaced, narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like fresh linen.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the black flesh is leathery, and the azure sap is thin.

It grows well in the sun and full shade.
It is suitable for making strong rope
