Azure Creeper
Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This big creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 142 feet (43.3 meters) and growing as high as 149 feet (45.4 meters).
It takes 21 months for the orange-yellow stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 10 inches (25 cm) and are rough and woody.
The V-shaped, clammy leaves reach up to 2.7 feet (81 cm) in length. They are solid azure or amber, with blue lines, and have toothed edges.
During late spring, the creeper produces a handful of average cyan flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces lots of small seed pods.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
