Azurevine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This giant shrub grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall and lives for around 13 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many wide, twisting stems covered in delicate, wrinkled, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.

The branches are short stubs with thousands of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, stiff, pointed, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are purple and turquoise, flimsy and soft.

In mid-summer it produces thousands of medium-sized, azure blossoms with spiral shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a weak scent that smells like vomit.

In midwinter very large needle-like fruits ripen. The hairy purple skin is thin and edible when cooked; it is bland, and the crunchy gold flesh is spicy and very juicy. The gold seed is large and sits at the top of the fruit.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
