Burgundy vine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 16 feet (4.9 meters) and growing as high as 678 feet (206.7 meters).
It takes 4 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are flat and wavy.
The spear shaped, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are found in subtle orange, violet and pink varieties, and have ripped edges.
During late spring, the vine produces bunches of small blue flowers.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
