Twisting Black Tree

This average-sized tree grows up to 45 meters (147.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 432 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, twisting trunk covered in very thick, cracked, black bark, and inside, the light wood is black.

The small bunches of branches are very short and slender and are covered with large amounts of rough, giant, fan-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are caramel and red.

In early spring, it produces thousands of medium-sized, beige blossoms with sickle shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like old books.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, beige berries.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
