Bronzevine

Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its bronze stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 3 and are wispy and straight, and split into several branching stems at the top, and the miniature, bronze or indigo leaves are wide with toothed edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Lots of tiny flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with solid light green petals and a magenta central disk. The flower head is largely flat with several tightly layered narrow petals. They detach easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like pineapple, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.

It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
