Crimson Glow Cactus

This small cactus grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 6 wide stems. Each stem is moss green, and is covered in thick sheets of rigid crimson spines. The cuboid body is orange-yellow, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 24 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are turquoise on the underside and peach on the top, grow at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is made up of 6 petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like apple.

The cactus's skin is thin, the purple flesh is rough, and the crimson sap is thin and causes vomiting if consumed.
