Copper

This large shrub grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for around 50 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has several wide, angular stems covered in paper-thin, wrinkled, dark green bark, and the wood inside is pale brown-grey.

The branches trail down towards the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of large, heart-shaped, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid red or grey, with pink lines, delicate and covered in fine hairs.

In late summer it produces large amounts of small, copper blossoms with 7 shield-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like candle wax.

In mid-autumn fan-like fruits ripen. The fuzzy pink skin is delicate and edible when roasted; it is sweet, and the crunchy caramel flesh is sweet and spicy and juicy. The lime seed is small and sits at the top of the fruit.
