Crimson Succulent

This small leaf succulent grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The thin stem is brown, and is dotted with small caramel spines. The tattered-edged, finger-like leaves are solid red or grey, with pink lines. Thick bunches of them grow from the base like blades of grass. The leaves are rigid, and take some effort to detach.

It is very slow growing, taking 14 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid black petals and a dark grey central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 19 petals. It has a weak scent that smells like roses.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the white flesh is smooth, and the cyan sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.
