Coppervine

This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 227 feet (69.2 meters) and growing as high as 95 feet (29.0 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 3 years for the brown stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 10 inches (25 cm) and are smooth and rubbery.

The circular, smooth leaves reach up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) in length. They are caramel at the bottom and slate with grey streaks at the top, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces dozens of large copper flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces a handful of small seed pods.
