Blueberry Bush

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 80 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several sturdy, crooked stems covered in thick, ridged, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches are short, rigid and upright that and are covered with large amounts of miniature, circular, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are sky blue and green, flimsy and clammy.

It produces handfuls of large, black flowers with broad, flat petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like mango. In midwinter it forms giantwhite, spiky-shelled seeds.
