Indigo Puffgrass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized, indigo grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The wispy stalks grow in small clumps that are delicate.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, pastel yellow puff.

During the early summer, it produces very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of tiny grains.

It can flourish even in standing water.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
