Speckled Brown

This large tree grows up to 72 meters (236.2 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 72 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, wavy trunk covered in paper-thin, wrinkled, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the very hard wood is yellow.

The sparse amount of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with large amounts of clammy, miniature, 7 pointed leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are sky blue and peach.

In early spring, it produces dozens of small, pink blossoms with many layers of petals. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like sugar.

In late summer it forms giant, light grey, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
